About this song
I ‘only’ started drinking when I was around 24 years old in 2015, I met this amazing blonde girl that I thought was out of my league but then one night we kissed and I was just connected to her.
Turned out that she was ‘escaping’ a bad relationship with other people, I was one of those people, it wasn’t malicious tho, she even apologized for potentially stringing me along. She wasn’t doing that, I was stringing myself along with the fantasy of her and so we had to let each other go. She had this ethereal beauty, blonde beautiful hair, sea blue eyes, amazing smile but most of all she was so sweet, caring and fun to be around.
‘She’s Got The’ was written a year later when I met my then girlfriend and picked up an acoustic guitar, the song just came out of me. The chorus was the first thing and then the verses followed quickly after.
The song had about 3 different versions before I produced this pop/80’s infused version that is the main one today. The chorus jumping from the chest voice to the head voice with the ‘she’s out there looking for love’ gives the song its unique character.
Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Living under mamma's skirt
So she could never get hurt
Held tight by daddies arms
So she could work, all her charms
[PreChorus]
Oh, but everything comes to an end
Her heart broke 'cause her mind wouldn't let it bend
[Chorus]
She's got the
Blue eyes, blonde hair don't care, attitude that, gets her everywhere
And she's out there looking for love
She's got the
Blue eyes, blonde hair don't care, attitude that, gets her everywhere
And she's out there looking for love
[Verse 2]
She holds her glass up high, she's drowning out the noise
She's screaming out her lungs but you can not hear her voice
[PreChorus]
Oh, but everything comes to an end
Her heart broke 'cause her mind wouldn't let it bend
[Chorus]
She's got the
Blue eyes, blonde hair don't care, attitude that, gets her everywhere
And she's out there looking for love
She's got the
Blue eyes, blonde hair don't care, attitude that, gets her everywhere
And she's out there looking for love
[Bridge]
I'm guiding her through the night
I'm getting her out alive
Her fingers intertwined with mine
But only for a little while
'Cause when the evening ends
We're back to being friends
Oh, 'cause everything comes to her
And everything comes to her
[Chorus]
Blue eyes, blonde hair don't care, attitude that, gets her everywhere
And she's out there looking for love
She's got the
Blue eyes, blonde hair don't care, attitude that, gets her everywhere
And she's out there looking for love
[Outro]
She's out there out there looking for
She's out there out there looking for
She's out there out there looking for
She's out there out there looking for love
